

Ewan Brown - Executive Officer
Ewan commenced as RDA ACT Executive Officer in July 2009. For the past seventeen years he was Executive Director of the Small Enterprise Telecommunications Centre Limited (SETEL), a not-for-profit company established to represent the interests of small, micro and home businesses in telecommunications and e-commerce. Ewan has extensive experience in dealing with government contractual performance criteria, representation, submission writing, liaison with regulators and involvement in self-regulatory processes.
Prior to that he was responsible for business management programs for community pharmacists and ran a management education institute after an early career in the Australian Public Service. A long-time resident of the ACT, Ewan has qualifications in economics and accounting plus extensive experience with ACT voluntary organisations.
Liz Veitch - Projects and Communications Manager
Liz started at the Capital Region ACC in October 2007 as Communications and Projects Officer; her main responsibilities were researching and writing the CR-ACC Accent newsletter and website content, organising community workshops and consultations, and expanding her already strong networks throughout the Capital Region developed in her previous employments as Drought Relief Counsellor and superfine wool producer.
From July 2010, Liz's new role as RDA ACT Projects and Communication Manager has expanded her responsibilities to include liaising with government representatives, key regional stakeholders and the Committee to strategically progress the way forward for RDA ACT. Liz is adding to her professional writing, arts and business qualifications by undertaking a Masters in Regional Development.
Melodi Rowe - Administration Assistant
Melodi began work at RDA ACT in November 2009, becoming RDA ACT's Administration Assistant on a part-time basis (20 hours). She was employed through the job networker Campbell Page and RDA ACT received a subsidy towards her salary from the Australian Government under a Wage Subsidy Agreement.
Melodi is currently studying towards a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Substances as part of her studies into Community Development. She has been a good addition to the team, dealing with an expanding variety of day-to-day administrative tasks that include helping to organise RDA ACT Committee meetings and promotional material.
